Coaching for founders under constant pressure, where business, family & self keep colliding.

Stressed founder on the phone with laptop, feeling overwhelmed as work spills into evenings and weekends

You look like you’re coping. Inside, it feels relentless.

On paper, things are working. The business is “fine.” Maybe even successful.

But the way you’re carrying it feels heavy.

✗ Work leaks into evenings and weekends.

✗ A quiet week makes you uneasy.

✗ Responsibility lingers even when you're off, making it hard to disconnect.

You know this isn’t about motivation or discipline.

The root of your struggle isn’t motivation or discipline—it’s how deeply your relationship with work shapes your life, often at a greater cost than you want to pay.

Founder in a focused conversation with a coach, exploring the deeper patterns shaping how they relate to their business

This isn’t a productivity problem.
It’s a relationship problem.

Most founders I work with don’t need another strategy. You’ve probably built your business using a few reliable pressure moves: pushing through, carrying it all, staying switched on.

They helped you succeed, but they also come with a cost.

✗ Now the business feels personal.

✗ A dip in revenue hits your sense of self.

✗ Switching off still feels risky, even if boundaries are set.

This isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about changing what happens in you when pressure shows up, so your business supports your life, instead of running your nervous system.

✓ Make decisions from steadiness, not urgency

✓ Hold boundaries without guilt or fallout at home

✓ Untangle self-worth from business performance

You give so much to your business.
You shouldn’t have to lose yourself

or the people you love in the process.

Will Taylor, psychotherapist and founder coach supporting high-functioning founders to stay calm and clear under pressure

I’m Will Taylor

I’m a UK-based psychotherapist and founder coach.

I work with high-functioning, values-led founders who never really switch off.

I'm here to help, not to optimise or impress you.

My role: help you understand pressure, calm your system, and work in ways that don't cost you or your loved ones.

I help business owners like you

Will Taylor helps you: Reconnect with what truly matters.

Creating a relationship with your business that feels healthy,
and meaningful.

Founder feeling lighter and more like herself, in a calm conversation after creating healthier boundaries with her business

What becomes possible

  • If switching off feels risky → you can rest without the low-level panic.

  • If the business feels personal → results stop deciding your worth.

  • If a dip in revenue hits your sense of self → you stay steady and respond cleanly.

  • If you default to pushing through → you build consistency without burning out.

  • If work leaks into evenings and weekends → boundaries hold, without guilt or fallout.

  • If everything feels like it’s on you → you carry responsibility without carrying it alone.

When things feel too much

This work isn’t a linear programme you move through.

It’s a way of responding differently when familiar pressures keep showing up.

Nothing is rushed.

We slow things down enough to see what’s really happening, and then work with it, together.

The parts below aren’t steps to complete.

They’re the kinds of support we return to, depending on what’s happening in your life and business.

Child shouting into a microphone, representing how business pressure can feel too loud for a founder’s nervous system

When everything feels too loud

Turning the volume down…we focus on:

  • settling chronic urgency and internal pressure

  • reducing constant scanning, vigilance, and “holding it all”

  • creating enough safety to think clearly again

  • slowing decisions so they’re not driven by fear

This is about getting out of survival mode. not pushing through it more skillfully.

Spiral staircase viewed from above, symbolising how founders repeat patterns around money, success, and responsibility

When the patterns keep repeating

Seeing what’s really going on…we explore:

  • what reliably shows up under pressure

  • the stories you tell yourself about money, success, and responsibility

  • where old roles and expectations still shape your choices

  • how work, home, and identity have become entangled

This isn’t about blame. It’s about making patterns visible so you have more choice.

Tangled rope as a metaphor for untangling a founder’s default patterns around pricing, people-pleasing, and overwork

When the business feels personal

Separating you from your business…we work on:

  • disentangling self-worth from business performance

  • noticing when business pressure becomes a personal threat

  • separating responsibility from identity

  • relating to the business as something you lead — not something that defines you

This is often where things begin to feel lighter, even before anything “changes” externally.

“Just Breathe” text, reminding founders to pause and respond calmly when pressure hits—money, boundaries, conflict, and uncertainty

When pressure hits in real life

Changing how you respond…we practise working with:

  • pricing and money conversations

  • empty diary weeks and uncertainty

  • conflict, boundaries, and difficult conversations

  • overwork, people-pleasing, and pushing through

We slow these moments down and build responses that don’t come from panic, guilt, or fear..

Founder at ease at home, reflecting a healthier relationship with work and evenings that feel like a return to self

When things start to stabilise

Building a way of working you can live with…we shape:

  • a rhythm that fits your life, not just the business

  • boundaries you can actually hold under pressure

  • a way of working that doesn’t require constant sacrifice

  • signals and practices you can return to when things get wobbly again

This becomes the ground you stand on, not a system you have to maintain perfectly.

Keep pushing through,
and burnout isn’t a risk...
it’s a guarantee.

The business you built to
give you freedom
can feel like a trap.

Repair your relationship with your business,
so you can lead from
wholeness, not survival.

After working with Will, you’ll have everything you need to:

  • Reconnect with your business as a true reflection of you, not a burden.

  • Lead from clarity, not chaos,  making grounded, values-led decisions

  • Trust yourself again, with instincts rooted in integration, not survival

  • Feel at home in your work, no longer shape-shifting or performing

  • Create from vision, not obligation, and build something that nourishes you

Don’t take my word for it.

I left with clarity of the leader I wanted to be and a stronger sense of direction. I would wholeheartedly recommend his work, especially to solo entrepreneurs or anyone wanting to explore the deeper layers of their business journey.

- Chris

Working with Will gave me the clarity and confidence to make big decisions without feeling paralysed. I finally feel grounded in my values and better equipped to lead my life and business.

-James

I came to Will thinking I needed help figuring out my freelance business. What I found was a space to remember who I was — beneath the burnout, beneath the roles. That changed everything.

-Jenny

Think of it as couples therapy for you and your business: We change the relationship so work stops taking everything!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work mainly with founders, business owners, and self-employed professionals who carry a lot of responsibility and struggle to switch off.

Most people I work with are high-functioning and capable. Their business may be doing well on paper, but the cost is showing, in stress, health, relationships, or a constant sense of pressure.

You don’t need to be burnt out or in crisis. Noticing the pattern is enough.

  • It sits between the two.

I’m a trained psychotherapist, and I work with founders in a coaching context. That means we pay attention to what’s happening in you. emotionally, physically, relationally, while staying grounded in real business decisions and day-to-day life.

This isn’t clinical therapy, and it isn’t performance coaching.

It’s about changing the relationship you have with your business so it stops running your nervous system.

  • No.

Many of the people I work with are functioning well and have never thought of themselves as having “mental health problems.”

They’re simply tired of living on alert, over-carrying responsibility, or feeling personally affected by everything that happens at work.

This work is preventative as much as it is reparative.

  • Sessions are conversational, reflective, and practical.

    We might:

    • slow things down when pressure is high

    • map patterns that repeat around money, time, or responsibility

    • look at a real situation you’re facing and explore different ways of responding

    • notice how your body reacts under stress

    • practise setting boundaries or having difficult conversations

There’s no script and no performance.

We work with what’s live for you.

  • There’s no fixed rule, but many people work with me over around six months.

    That allows enough time to:

    • calm the system

    • understand patterns

    • practise new responses under pressure

    • build something more sustainable

    Some people stop there.

Others continue more lightly, monthly check-ins or periodic resets, as life and business evolve.

We’ll talk about what makes sense for you.

  • Yes.
What we talk about stays between us.

I don’t share identifiable client details, and you won’t be asked to perform, share publicly, or involve others unless you choose to.

This is a private, contained space.

  • Many people who come to me have already done a lot of inner work.

What’s often different here is the focus on integration:

    • personal history

    • nervous system responses

    • current business pressures

    • everyday decisions

Rather than working on these in isolation, we look at how they interact and what actually changes things in real life.

  • Not in a prescriptive way.

I won’t give you a blueprint or tell you the “right” answer.

What I will do is help you slow things down enough to see what’s driving your decisions, and support you to choose differently, in ways that fit your values and life.

If you’re looking for someone to take over the thinking, this probably isn’t the right fit.

  • Some shifts do happen quickly, especially once your system settles.

But this isn’t a quick fix.

The work asks for honesty, attention, and a willingness to notice patterns you might usually push past. The changes tend to be steadier and more durable rather than dramatic.

If speed matters more than depth, this may not be what you’re looking for.

  • The first step is a discovery call.

It’s a calm conversation where we look at:

    • what’s happening for you right now

    • what feels heavy or stuck

    • what kind of support might help

    • whether this feels like a good fit

There’s no pressure to decide anything on the call.

    Book a discovery call

You give so much to your business. You shouldn’t have to lose yourself or the people you love in the process.

No obligation. No judgment.
Just an honest conversation.
